A general or liberal education gives you a broad-based knowledge and the life skills needed for all kinds of careers.
Employers and educators call this broad knowledge and set of competencies “learning outcomes” (AAC&U 2008).
The learning outcomes for the Intellectual Foundations (IF) program specifically state the knowledge, skills, and habits of mind that you can expect to learn as a result of taking courses in each of the IF categories.
